Accomplishments

A few weeks ago Chris and I went on a double date with our good friends and enjoyed a nice dinner and Sublime concert. The venue for the tribute band was so laid back and we really enjoyed the night out.
In other GREAT news, Chris finished ALL his courses for his BA!!!! He has worked so hard and long on this great academic endeavor and it has finally paid off. He did it all while working far more than 40hrs a week, traveling once every other month, and being a committed Husband and Father. We are so proud of him!!!

As for Jakster's activities we have recently discovered Hawaiian sledding. I had this idea months ago at a nearby park, but the box wasn't slick enough and the grass was too healthy. But, bring on our harsh winter weather (intentional sarcasm) with dry grass and a perfectly sloped hill and we did it!! The kids all LOVED it and even got a bit daring in their sledding techniques. Jake would do a turn and go down backwards and on his belly while Vinny would stand up and surf down the hill! Fearless children make for great afternoon memories at the park.

Please excuse my extremely annoying voice in this clip. The sound even hurts my own ears and I am so sorry and thankful for people that withstand my high-pitched little child voice on a daily basis.

With school finally out of the way, Chris has a bit more time for training. Our training couch was right at hand helping Dad pump up those bike tires. He did this all by himself! Then after Chris took off on the bike he put the pump attachment inside his blue car (behind the bike in this pic) rims and pumped away. He has caught on watching mommy pump up all those stroller tires.

Fort DeRussy Biathlon

Chris competed in the Fort DeRussy Biathlon this weekend down in Waikiki. The course was a 5k run followed by an extremely shallow 100om swim. I sat this race out and it was so fun to capture photos of all our friends and Chris along the course.

Finishing strong after the open water swim. Chris had to head into work so we left right after the finish, but come to find out he placed 3rd in his division! Some friends picked up his plaque and it was a great race to kick off training for the upcoming ironman in August.
